Hai-Li Kong is a Brooklyn-based film editor and director whose work explores themes of craftsmanship, cultural identity, and artistic obsession. She currently serves as Lead Assistant Editor at Wavelength Productions, where she has contributed to a range of projects including award-winning feature documentaries, narrative films, TV series, and branded content. Prior to joining Wavelength, she freelanced as a story producer and editor for independent directors and production houses across the country.

As a filmmaker, she loves to bring the heart out of any story. She is especially passionate about uplifting AAPI stories, and serves as the Archival Programmer for the Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF) and consulting programmer for Think!Chinatown’s Chinatown Storytelling Festival.

Whether working on client-driven material or personal experiments, she brings curiosity and a playful sensibility to every project.
